UGA: Grady College

Grady College is a part of the Red Clay identity β€” we were founded by Dawgs and employ Dawgs. The Grady website was a way for us to empower students in their journey at UGA.

The Challenge

This project was an exercise in information architecture. We had to craft a user experience for several personas. The site needed to speak to students, alumni, applicants, professors β€” and their unique needs. We researched personas and formed a user experience that works across the board.

Visual Navigation

The site navigation was designed to strike a balance between form and function. Bold imagery guides each user into the content they need. High level quick links give students access to applications, donations, and student information.

Social Media

Our team wanted Grady to connect with people. We did this through aggregating social media and events on the homepage to give the homepage a personal touch.

Mobile Experience

The previous Grady site fumbled on mobile. This was a bad play for anyone trying to interact with a smartphone or tablet. We built this site to work responsively on all screen sizes. The payout? A 21% bump in mobile sessions.

Flexible Content

Students and faculty needed a site they could update easily without going through a web developer. We built this site using flex content modules, giving Grady the ability to intuitively add new pages and content to their website.
