One of our mantras here at Red Clay is about winning. No good ever came from doing something with the intention of losing, unless it’s the first game of a pool-hustling scenario.
We’ve been recognized for our winning ways many times over the years – but this year we took it a step further. We won 7 ADDY awards from the Atlanta Ad Club.
The best advertising work in metro Atlanta is celebrated annually with an awards show. Everything from billboards and print ads to websites and TV commercials were submitted, many by agencies with hundreds of employees.
We rented a bus, headed to the Tabernacle, and had a raucous Thursday night.
We came home with 5 bronze ADDYs for our magazine work with CST, a silver ADDY for the CST website, and a silver ADDY for our Instagram Christmas Card. A full list of the 2016 ADDY awards can be found on the Atlanta Ad Club site.
A Little Something Extra
Not content to just be recognized for this work, we went the extra mile and made something special for the ADDYs.
Just a few days before the event, Snapchat released a platform where Geofilters can be made and purchased.
To support the Atlanta Ad Club and our fellow agencies, we made filters and bought the area surrounding the Tabernacle for the night of the show.
Everyone at the ADDYs was able to take a Snapchat and apply one of the three ADDY filters: one for gold winners, one for silver, and one for general attendees.
All told, these ADDY-filtered Snapchats racked up over 5,000 views.
We made a bit of a splash with our first appearance at the ADDYs. We can’t wait to do more great work for our clients and win even more next year.
