On Tuesday of this week, I had the opportunity to speak with Kevin Sasser with Company.com (great domain name by the way). Company.com is a new venture attempting to create the next great social network for businesses. It allows companies to post information about their products and services, coupons and contact other companies that they may want to partner or co-brand with. Plus, it creates new Pay Per Click Opportunities for businesses to be listed in comparison with other companies in their industry.
As with most new things, you never know if it will take off or not but it’s worth testing out. The program is currently in beta and at full launch, OfficeMax locations around the country will be placing Company.com kiosks in their stores so store customers can find local businesses that offer the services they need. I’m always a fan of new channels, especially if they can provide conversion. This could be a hot one.
