Recently, one of the most frequent questions we hear is “Will my blog (and/or twitter) bring me new leads”?
Can it? Absolutely.
A recent study of small to medium sized, business-to-consumer companies found that the companies using Twitter generated double the median monthly leads of the non-tweeting companies. In addition, the number of Twitter followers was key to success. Companies with 100-500 followers generated 146% more median monthly leads than companies with 21 to 100 followers.
Blogs are also good lead generation tools for both business-to-consumer and business-to-business. Another recent study of small businesses found that blogging also led to a big increase in median monthly leads.
So can social media bring you increased leads? The results are in and that is a resounding yes. But will it? That depends on how you use it.
